An agri-business specialist in our Claude office, Jim Hubbard has been in the insurance business since 1970 and joined our team in 1994. Jim grew up in Claude, graduated from West Texas A&M, and loves helping agriculture clients manage their risk with the large bank loans that are common in that business. “Most farmers cannot afford to lose a large crop,” he says, “and the ones who can don’t want to.” An Army veteran who served in Vietnam, Jim has volunteered on a number of community boards and organizations. He has served separate terms as Claude’s Mayor, Fire Chief, and City Commissioner, and does color analysis on the radio for Claude football games. Jim is a former President of the WT Alumni Association and also spent time as President of the Panhandle Plains Historical Society and Museum.
